Google & privacy:
not a good combination.
Stop the tracking and claim compensation
Dutch and European privacy rules designed to protect consumers have been ignored by Google for years. Therefore, we have initiated a lawsuit on behalf of all Dutch Android users, in which we demand, among other things:
Google must stop tracking users
Google must be transparent
Google must compensate your damages
The Massaschade & Consument Foundation
The Massaschade & Consument Foundation is an independent non-profit organization that advocates for consumer rights in cases of mass damages. Among other things, we aim to put an end to the way foreign tech giants disregard the privacy rules applicable here.
The foundation was established in 2021 and, in addition to the lawsuit against Google, also conducts collective actions against TikTok and Airbnb. Collective actions can be a solution if you do not have the money or expertise to start a case against a large company yourself.
Users should have control over what they share with companies like Google. Their data is private, but worth a lot of money to Google. Therefore, the foundation demands compensation for the period during which Google unlawfully obtained data from millions of Dutch persons.
The SMC board also consists of Huub de Jong, who is involved in the TikTok case. Simone van der Hof is involved in the TikTok case as a member of the supervisory board.

Research shows that Google collects highly detailed data from Android users. Google knows which apps are used, when and how they are used, and much more about users' personal lives. We believe that Google has violated laws and regulations with this collection and processing of personal data from Android users, and we want these unlawful activities to stop.
